Musk continues to share his ambitious vision of Mars colonization,
posting a picture of a spacecraft on Twitter with the caption, "This
will be Mars one day." Known for his dedication to making humanity a
"multi-planetary species," Musk has long talked about the potential of
Mars and his goal to establish a human settlement on the Red Planet.
The latest tweet came after SpaceX's successful static engine fire test at the Starbase site in Texas. Musk has expressed confidence in the feasibility of colonizing Mars, calling the planet a "fixer upper" but one with "great potential."
In
response to a question about creating a self-sustaining civilization on
Mars, Musk estimated it would take 20 to 30 years from the first human
landing to establish a thriving colony, assuming exponential growth in
launch rates.
While
Musk's Mars ambitions continue to unfold, the timeline for human
settlement remains speculative. Nevertheless, with SpaceX's ongoing
progress, Musk's vision of a future on Mars seems increasingly within
reach.
