Hyundai is pushing forward with next-gen EV tech, planning a pilot production line for all-solid-state batteries.

Their Next-Generation Battery Research Center in Uiwang, South Korea, will be fully operational by January 2025. Hyundai aims to introduce EVs with these batteries by 2025 and start mass production by 2030. All-solid-state batteries offer greater safety and performance, reducing fire risks and increasing driving range.

Recent industry moves include Mercedes-backed Factorial Energy and Honda advancing their solid-state battery projects, and CATL entering trial production. Hyundai's investment promises safer, more efficient, and high-performing EVs.
