China has unveiled its next-generation high-speed train, the CR450 prototype, which has reached test speeds of 450 km/h (280 mph), making it the fastest train in the world. The prototype was recently trialed on the Tianjin-Beijing route.

The CR450, designed for 400 km/h (248 mph), marks a big step in high-speed rail since its start in 2021.

The eight-car train includes advanced systems like water-cooled traction and a stable bogie system. It offers spacious cabins, and adjustable storage for bikes and wheelchairs.
China Railway hasn't confirmed a launch date but hinted the CR450 could start in 2025.
